This trick could be done in two ways


1. Give Them A Toy - A dogs barking can sometimes be a result of boredom. If you are going to be away from your pet for more than an hour, you need to make sure they have something to occupy their time. A good idea is to get them a chew toy such as a rubber bone or a squeaky rubber ball. With this new distraction in front of them, they are less likely to cause the neighbors grief while you are away.

2. Start taking your little friend on a regular walks. Find a place where you can both play and exercise, let your dog approach other dogs and play with them as well. You will notice that after coming back home it will calm down and fall asleep, being exhausted. As long as you can provide interesting and active way of spending time your dog will not have the reason to bark out of pure boredom.
