They haven’t called me back about the job, but at the same time, I called them back yesterday and today and they said that they haven’t picked someone. I am beginning to wonder if he meant that he’d make a decision next Monday or Tuesday and not this one coming. As I said, I applied to other ones but I haven’t heard back from them, either. It’s all the same job.
The thing about jobs is that I just don’t want to do something like scan peas at walmart because that’s not helpful to my future. I hate mindless work; I mean I know that working at walmart is an important job so people can get their groceries or whatever, but all in all, it’s pretty god damned useless unless you want to be manager of walmart, but I have far bigger dreams. I know a lot of people say any job is better than no job, which is why around here people stand out in front of home depot waiting on jobs, or work as day hired construction workers, but still.
I do, however, feel incredibly useless just sitting at home all the time, watching various TV shows and reading just because I feel like my time could be better spent if I were working towards something. I feel like this every summer because that’s how the summer is.
