The saying "a house is not a home without a dog" is true. If you can help it, everyone should have a dog. A place is more empty without a dog to greet you whenever you walk in the door. When you get home from a stressful day, the only time you may smile is when you see your dog, wagging his tail. There are many options on how to get a dog. You can go to your local shelter. Dogs have limited time while dogs at pet stores have as much time as they need to find loving homes. You can also get a dog from a trusted breeder, never get a dog/puppy from a backyard breeder. They often breed dogs the wrong way, the dogs to them mean nothing but money, and can also be expensive. Another way is from a person who fosters dogs. These people are generous and take dogs for a certain amount of time till they get a forever home. It dosent matter if the dogs are pure-breeds, my dogs a mutt and still makes a wonderful pet and family member. It is also a proven fact that mixed breed dogs live a healthier, longer life than pure-breeds. So, think about getting a dog today, and you just might save a life!
